Question about Social Sign ins...
« on: March 03, 2013, 10:55:38 pm »
In the admin panel setting up social registrations there is a Giga Key code section...
I already have a Facebook and SSL on my server...

Can I simply activate the social registrations I want and uncheck the ones I do not want?
Without signing up for Giga?

The social login system requires gigya. They handle all the back end for the social networks. And you can enter in your own custom facebook app to handle posting in gigya.

I also thought about using the OneAll Social login system as an option as well.

I have done just standalone work with just Google and Twitter for logins but requires code if I were just to add them as normal sign in method without gigya.

In the bulletin board I have integrated with Facebook and I really do not want to pay Giga seems that they are charging for this service,  I do not wish to be forced to have to join a service to add social log ins since I already have Facebook and I do not want Yahoo and a lot of the others that are listed since the bot makers set up email accounts there and then send there bots out to troll around the web...
Hotmail and Yahoo are two of the worst from what I have seen.

Is there a way I can...
wait if I have it active on my forum already...
That means that If I simply copy the link and button and then add it to the template globally then my user would be able to join up using their Facebook accounts...
then I could do the same for other ones I would like to use...

That is correct right?

With gigya you should have option to turn on and off each social network in the gigya settings page in ezClassifieds . I use gigya for free I think it is free up to 1000 to 2500 unique users for social networking.
Onesocial is little better on pricing which I might add in the future.

Well the facebook code that you would copy would only have them join your forum and not the classiifeds which would work but they would have to go back to the classifieds page.

I personally Think I like that option the best That way I only have to join the social Site I want to link to for user registrations as the developer...
I do not like having to set up accounts all over the place, unless I am missing something...
are you saying with Giga I can sign up once and all social sing ups will work?
or do I still have to join them each one at a time?
